I love that. Reminds me of Charles Perrault vs. the Brothers Grimm. They both published collected fairy tales, but the Grimm brothers left out the explanations and moralizing that Perrault loved to add and just told the stories. No surprise which stood the test of time. Just entertain. Let the reader figure out what it means to them. :)
Our stories that we tell through our art are the ones that changed us. We put our stories out there and hope that one other person feels something from our honesty. That connection is genuine. How can we expect to script it by telling that person what the something is that they’re supposed to feel, and still call it genuine?
