An arduous few years, this journey has been. The long sheet in discovery. :)

Undeterred by hardship, these last few years has taught much. I'm beyond proud of you.

It's been a minute… I look forward to being with Henry and Rose and cast soon, really all that 20XX is to be. 20XX will be an epic read. From mind to hand, let it be inked carriage recording your stories next entry.
The bestest stories have no need of an end. They are continually being written. Like life, it steps confidently forward.

Cat's Cradle… YES!!

Incredibly thankful to writers | authors [past| present] that inspire to catalyse growth. You were able to pin point. Defining your own unique writing style and voice. Now you get to inspire other writers in that process. A perpetual exchange of inspiration and encouragement. Pretty cool :)

You drop so many precious gems along the way. It's funny to grow fond and deeply invested in characters. A few of mine were distillations of family or friends who have become quite dear, as they represent those people captured and frozen in a moment - not always their best, but certainly interesting.

I don't know if it's possible to create a character completely separate from other distillations. At least for me. But I love it. Most of my characters are pieces of many I've experienced.

My fake brother is based on Leetle Bro at 3 or 4. A beatific fool, or so I thought. The 3 year age difference wasn't appreciated - I thought he was "broken." That other guy isn't the real Dalai Lama. :) Elrod's favorite swear word was "park." When I've shown him some of the really silly stories I base on him as "Cabbage," he laughs hard, then gets very serious and says, "You're going to hell," in the same solemn whisper he'd use before saying, "I'm gonna tell Mom."

I've newly come to reading your wonderful offerings, and look forward to more. Do you have a place where former stories can be accessed? Just because I'm a shallow curious person, is there an explanation for why you were in prison?

I have my Amazon profile linked with my works, as well as my Medium profile. And yes, there is an explanation.

Thanks for sharing, Roman. I connected to so much of it. Cat's Cradle is what I usually say when people ask what my single favorite book is. Also, the living with characters thing. I'm getting close to finishing the first draft of my first novel and it is such an interesting thing, having all of these people in your brain that you know so well and haven't introduced to others yet.

I totally agree, Jimmy. Sometimes you gotta set those characters free and observe. I'm wishing you all the best with your novel.

I love this. Being at work with your characters sounds like fun. I wish I had done this through several of my mind-numbing jobs. Despite all the trials in your life, you make your journey seem somehow magical or maybe mystical. Well done.

I’ve been itching to know (or have clarified) some of the back story for 20XX. It felt like I was reading a half-forgotten diary entry in a strange kind of way. I had a misty quasi-memory of what your story to date might be, and it was kind of right.

Your writing reminds me of someone I used to know, your story (or what you have chosen to share of your story) also similar.

Strange, right?

I have people nibbling away at the edges of my mind when I’m somewhat otherwise engaged. I need to give them some attention. It’s been a while though.
